Tattooing is not only a form of expression and aesthetics. It is also an intervention into the skin, so it is worth understanding what happens to the body during the tattooing process and what the possible consequences may be. If you want to approach the subject with real awareness, I recommend the book
Aneta Szczerkowska-Dobosz — Medyczne aspekty tatuażu (available in polish edition only). It is a valuable source of knowledge about tattooing from a medical perspective. The author covers, among other things, tattooing safety, skin reactions and possible complications. It may not be the kind of book you read before going to bed, but it is certainly a very worthwhile one. This is a valuable book not only for dermatologists and people who get tattoos, but above all for tattoo artists.
